Contributors with non-Nigerian bank accounts currently receive a novel or nonfiction book by a selected African author if Amazon delivers to their country, value capped at $35 including processing — not a cash fee. Do not describe Efiko as paying every contributor ₦30,000.

What they want
- Poems, short stories and essays of high quality from writers of African origin anywhere, or from people writing about Africa.

Rights
First serial rights; rights to republish in a collection; shared rights for maiden adaptations. Text rights revert to the writer 90 days after publication. If you reprint or repurpose the work, you must acknowledge Efiko as first publisher.
How to submit
- Email a Word document to submissions@efikomag.com.
- Put the genre in the subject line.
- Name the file with your name and the genre.
- Include a 5-line bio in the email body.
- Simultaneous submissions are allowed; notify Efiko promptly if accepted elsewhere.
- If you have no response after 3 months, the official page says to inquire at editors@efikomag.com.
