- Official Author’s Guide, Appendix II: if they accept the list they send $100 USD minus PayPal fees within thirty days. You are not paid for submitting. Rejected lists stay yours. Accepted lists become Listverse property.

What they want
- A finished 10-item list with an introductory paragraph, 1,500–2,000 words, native-level English.
- Quality online sources for each item. No Wikipedia or other editable pages. Format sources as in section 7 of the Author’s Guide.
- Popular official themes: mysteries, secrets, facts/misconceptions, history with a twist, the darker side of people. Uniqueness is required — do not rework a list already on Listverse or elsewhere.
- American spelling. Imperial measures with metric in parentheses except in scientific pieces.
What they don't want
- Writers outside US, UK, NZ, Ireland, Canada, Australia and South Africa (unless already published there).
- Sports, technology, or self-help / advice (official guide: almost never published).
- Personal or unverifiable material. Translations of existing foreign-language pages. Content farms / middle-men.
- Images (their editors add images). Illegal content. Plagiarism.
- Sending two or more lists in one day — they treat that as a sign you rushed.

Rights
On purchase: ownership, copyright and all other rights including moral rights transfer to Listverse Limited. They may edit. If rejected, rights stay with you.

- Submit through https://listverse.com/submit-a-list/ and agree to the terms.
- If you have not heard in 30 days, check spam. Official comms come from submit@listverse.com.
- They do not negotiate rejected lists.
