Udinese host Como at the Bluenergy Stadium in the other 18:30 kick-off on Serie A's opening Saturday. Two clubs who spent last season in the division's middle third meet in a fixture with no obvious favourite and a great deal of interest for anyone tracking Como's continued climb from the lower leagues into serious Italian football.
Matchday one — no competitive Serie A form yet this season for either club.
BRYME has not been able to source a head-to-head record for this pairing from an aggregator we trust. Rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind, we are leaving it out until we can verify it.
The 2026/27 Serie A season features 20 clubs across 38 matchdays, opening 22 August 2026 and closing 30 May 2027, with midweek rounds on 28 October and 6 January and a break over the weekend of 27 December.
Neither side is a meaningful underdog, which is what makes the fixture worth watching. Como travelling to Udine on an opening weekend is a fair test of whether their recent trajectory has translated into the kind of squad that takes points on the road in Italy.
BRYME expects a tight, low-scoring game. Udinese at home are historically difficult to break down and rarely lose these by more than a goal.
